This is my 9 year old ragdoll mix, Alabaster. Over the last 2 months we’ve been back and forth to the vet with an eye issue. In the end the eye had to be removed and I bet you can guess it was not cheap. Ally and I wanted to say thank you to everyone that has ever made a purchase from Design From Jess, without you I wouldn’t have been able to afford the surgery. I work a full time job and started Designs from Jess to help make ends meet. It’s been an awesome ride and I love making clothes that people want to wear. It’s still pretty surreal sometimes, there are over 4,000 pairs out in the world from the US to the UK!! So to my friends, family and all of my supporters, thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Almost 5 months ago [omg 5 months really??!] I married my best friend in our backyard. We took all the planning into our own hands and decided to embark on the adventure that is planning a wedding at your own home. It.was.so.fun. I know you must think I’m crazy, who would want to host a wedding of nearly 100 people in your back yard? This girl. It had a lot to do with where we live and the its unique setting and what we found for venues. Everything was either way out of budget or just not us and wouldn’t give us the freedom we wanted that hosting it at home would. With our landlords blessing we planned and executed the most perfect [for us] wedding day.

My secret goal was to get our wedding on Rock ‘n Roll bride.com and it happened!! Check it out!
